Originally trained in graphic design, Jane worked for twelve years in the publishing industry in London. She decided to search out new creative challenges and retrained in garden design at Capel Manor College and gained a masters in landscape architecture at Greenwich University, London.
Based in Hertfordshire and with clients in the surrounding counties and London, Jane can offer a creative and professional service encompassing all aspects of garden design. She is not confined to a particular style, and is as happy creating a minimalist courtyard as designing a traditional cottage garden. Every client and every site is different, and she enjoys transforming your outdoor space into an area which works for you and your budget.
Jane looks to adopt good practice in relation to environmental issues and using her landscape architectural experience aims to demonstrate this
by retaining and reusing existing hard landscape materials, trees and plants where possible; to use SUDS (sustainable urban drainage systems) and encourage planting wildlife-friendly plants and native flora to encourage the creation of wildlife habitats.
Jane works with private clients, developers, architects and contractors to deliver gardens from initial consultation to completion of works on site and advice on ongoing management. The start point for any garden design is a discussion about the project. Please contact us to talk through your requirements at an initial consultation.
"Jane is a pleasure to work with; she listens carefully and is very thorough in her approach - then quickly comes back with variety of good and practical ideas and plans to meet the brief. Her services are definitely very good value,
I would have no hesitation recommending her."
